First Responder

You’re Invited!
My name is Winston Yeung and I am the producer and host of VoiceStory Live. We have partnered with Low Entropy to bring this event to the Tri-Cities.
At VoiceStory Live, we’re taking action by creating social connection, facilitating personal healing, and promoting community building through storytelling.
Social isolation is a pervasive issue in many societies, caused by addiction to mobile devices, reduced face-to-face interaction, and the lack of spaces for connection. Leading to feelings of depression, loneliness, fear, negative self-esteem or suicide.
We believe in the power of storytelling to bring people together, empower individuals, and foster authentic connections. Sharing stories of facing fears, overcoming adversity, and experiencing great adventures inspires and uplifts members of our community. We recognize the importance of creating a safe and inclusive space for people from all walks of life to connect and support each other.
When we were deciding on themes for 2023, ‘let’s give the first responders a stage’ was a thought that kept ringing in my mind.
After I experienced the powerful story Taj Grewal shared at the July 29 VoiceStory Live show about his battle with PTSD as a Paramedic, I knew there had to be others out there just like him.
So to honor the brave individuals that risk their lives everyday in service of others, your dedication and to show our appreciation we have reserved a limited number of seats at VoiceStory Live to be given exclusively to First Responders.
City of Coquitlam Mayor Richard Stewart opens our 2023 show season | Live @ VoiceStory
My intention is to offer you and the people who serve as a First Responder, an opportunity to experience the transformative power of authentic, raw storytelling.
“Last night’s VoiceStory Live re-launch was outstanding! Thank you to all who created VoiceStory, to all who made the re-launch happen and to all who shared their stories with us. It was a fantastic way to spend an evening and I look forward to more VoiceStory events in the future.”
– Councillor Teri Towner, City of Coquitlam
